Did you know that you can't process a lie? What do I mean when I say that? Well it's very interesting! As you probably already know your brain can be very logical at times, it's really amazing on how it processes information! But there are some down sides to how our brain works. Our brain can't handle the negative, for example if you were a skier, you hit a patch of trees, and you think, "Don't hit a tree, don't hit a tree" all your brain can 'hear' is tree, so all you see is trees. On the other hand if you told yourself "find the path, find the path" then you can see the path, and not hit a tree. Because our brain can't process the negative, it can cause problems when we entertain thoughts and our brain takes it as real, have you ever sat and thought about food and then you start to salivate? Well, that's just because your brain think that thought is real and starts to prepare to eat the food. There is definitely a down side ...
As you can probably tell by reading my other posts I am really excited to get married, have a family, and do some of those big things in my life, i'm a very logical kind of person I feel like I need to think about those kind of things for awhile to be prepared to do them. I've been thinking about what it would be like to be married ever since I was a kid, but early on I figured out that I could only think as far as I know about marriage, the more I learned about it caused me to know more, and the more I know the more I thought about it, and the more I thought about it the more prepared I felt for marriage. This has helped me be more and more comfortable for when the time comes. The reason I do this is because I have a fear of messing up and accidently hurting other people's feelings, or at least that is what I think. So after looking into it a little bit (and with a little experience) I think the most important thing in a healthy relationship is communication. When it comes...
As a kid my siblings and I would play a game (we called it stores) where each of us would choose a profession and then run that store for the others, we would set up a mock economy using enlarged Legos as currency. If you were the one who ran the bank, then it was your job to add money to everyone's account every night, which would in turn inflate the economy to the point money would be useless. I tell you this story because as a kid I didn't really know how money worked. I had my first job when I was fourteen getting paid five dollars an hour, I would take bare root trees and pliant them in pots, and this job was hard work. I wouldn't have been able to keep that job without my parents teaching me how to work hard, growing up I wouldn't get the point of way we needed to keep the house so clean all the time, but now that I have grown up a little bit more I couldn't be more grateful for what my parents taught me. So over the years I have gone...
